Abram travelled, still going on towards the South.

Abram went up out of Egypt—he, his wife, all that he had, and Lot with him—into the South.

They lived from Havilah to Shur that is before Egypt, as you go towards Assyria. He lived opposite all his relatives.

There was a famine in the land, in addition to the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, to Gerar.

The herdsmen of Gerar argued with Isaac’s herdsmen, saying, “The water is ours.” So he called the name of the well Esek, because they contended with him.

Then Abimelech went to him from Gerar with Ahuzzath his friend, and Phicol the captain of his army.

The LORD’s voice shakes the wilderness. The LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.

Moses led Israel onward from the Sea of Suf, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.

They went and came to Moses, to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, to the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word to them and to all the congregation. They showed them the fruit of the land.

When we cried to the LORD, he heard our voice, sent an angel, and brought us out of Egypt. Behold, we are in Kadesh, a city in the edge of your border.

We travelled from Horeb and went through all that great and terrible wilderness which you saw, by the way to the hill country of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Kadesh Barnea.

because you trespassed against me amongst the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah of Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because you didn’t uphold my holiness amongst the children of Israel.

Saul struck the Amalekites, from Havilah as you go to Shur, which is before Egypt.
