Haman said to King Ahasuerus, “There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed amongst the peoples in all the provinces of your kingdom, and their laws are different from other people’s. They don’t keep the king’s laws. Therefore it is not for the king’s profit to allow them to remain.

You have made us like sheep for food, and have scattered us amongst the nations.

“‘“Yet I will leave a remnant, in that you will have some that escape the sword amongst the nations, when you are scattered through the countries.

I will scatter you amongst the nations, and I will draw out the sword after you. Your land will be a desolation, and your cities shall be a waste.

Now the names of the twelve emissaries are these. The first, Simon, who is called Peter; Andrew, his brother; Jacob the son of Zebedee; Yochanan, his brother;

Unless those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved. But for the sake of the chosen ones, those days will be shortened.

Walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers: Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew, his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.

Won’t God avenge his chosen ones who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them?

and not for the nation only, but that he might also gather together into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.

The Judeans therefore said amongst themselves, “Where will this man go that we won’t find him? Will he go to the Diaspora amongst the Greeks and teach the Greeks?

He found a certain Jew named Aquila, a man of Pontus by race, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to depart from Rome. He came to them,

Having spent some time there, he departed and went through the region of Galatia and Phrygia, in order, establishing all the disciples.

This continued for two years, so that all those who lived in Asia heard the word of the Lord Yeshua, both Jews and Greeks.

But some of those who were of the synagogue called “The Libertines”, and of the Cyrenians, of the Alexandrians, and of those of Cilicia and Asia arose, disputing with Stephen.

Therefore those who were scattered abroad went around proclaiming the word.

The assemblies of Asia greet you. Aquila and Priscilla greet you warmly in the Lord, together with the assembly that is in their house.

For we don’t desire to have you uninformed, brothers, concerning our affliction which happened to us in Asia: that we were weighed down exceedingly, beyond our power, so much that we despaired even of life.

and all the brothers who are with me, to the assemblies of Galatia:

that you were at that time separate from Messiah, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the holy ones and of the household of God,

The LORD will scatter you amongst all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other end of the earth. There you will serve other gods which you have not known, you nor your fathers, even wood and stone.

I said that I would scatter them afar. I would make their memory to cease from amongst men;

The LORD will scatter you amongst the peoples, and you will be left few in number amongst the nations where the LORD will lead you away.

This you know, that all who are in Asia turned away from me, of whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes.

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them and embraced them from afar, and having confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Jacob, a servant of God and of the Lord Yeshua the Messiah, to the twelve tribes which are in the Diaspora: Greetings.

Beloved, I beg you as foreigners and pilgrims to abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul,

Simon Peter, a servant and emissary of Yeshua the Messiah, to those who have obtained a like precious faith with us in the righteousness of our God and Saviour, Yeshua the Messiah:

saying, “What you see, write in a book and send to the seven assemblies: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.”
