Simon Peter answered, and said: Thou art Christ the son of the living God.

I say therefore unto you, that many shall come from the east and west, and shall rest with Abraham, Isaac, and Iacob, in the kingdom of heaven:

Iesus said to him: This day is health come unto this house, forasmuch as it also is become the child of Abraham.

Whosoever receiveth his witness, the same hath sealed that God is true.

He that believeth on the son, hath everlasting life. And he that beloveth not the son, shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him.

And Iesus said unto them: I am that bread of life. He that cometh to me, shall not hunger: and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

And this is the will of him that sent me: That every man which seeth the son, And believeth on him, have everlasting life. And I will raise him up at the last day.

¶ Verily verily I say unto you, he that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

They answered him: We be Abraham's seed, and were never bond to any man: why sayest thou then, ye shall be made free?

For the scripture saith: whosoever believeth on him, shall not be ashamed.

For Christ is the end of the law to justify all that believe.

But the righteousness which cometh of faith, speaketh on this wise: Say not in thine heart: who shall ascend into heaven? (That is nothing else than to fetch Christ down.)

The righteousness no doubt which is good before God cometh by the faith of Iesus Christ unto all, and upon all them that believe.

which God did suffer to shew at this time: the righteousness that is allowed of him, that he might be counted just, and a justifier of him which believeth on Iesus.

For it is God only which justifieth circumcision, which is of faith: and uncircumcision throwe faith.

How was it reckoned? in the time of circumcision? or in the time before he was circumcised? Not in time of circumcision: but when he was yet uncircumcised. And he received the sign of circumcision,

¶ What shall we say then? we say that the gentiles which followed not righteousness, have overtaken righteousness I mean the righteousness which cometh of faith.

As it is written: Behold I put in Syon a stumbling stone, and a rock which shall make men fall. And none that believe on him, shall be ashamed.

¶ I speak not these things as though the words of God had took none effect. For they are not all Israelites which came of Israhel,

which hath also sealed us, and hath given the earnest of the spirit into our hearts.

but the scripture concluded all things under sin, that the promise by the faith of Iesus Christ, should be given unto them that believe.

If ye be Christe's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs by promise.

Understand therefore, that they which are of faith, are the children of Abraham.

We look for and hope to be justified by the spirit which commeth of faith.

And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon Israhel that pertaineth to God.

¶ In whom also ye (after that ye heard the word of truth, I mean the gospell of your health, wherein ye believed) were sealed with the holy spirit of promise,

And grieve not the holy spirit of God, by whom ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

and might be found in him, not having mine own righteousness which is of the law: But that which springeth of the faith which is in Christ. I mean the righteousness which cometh of God throwe faith

¶ By faith Noah honoured God, after that he was warned of things which were not seen, and prepared the ark to the saving of his household, throwe the which ark he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which cometh by faith.

¶ Simon Peter a servant and an Apostle of Iesus Christ, to them which have obtained like precious faith with us in the righteousness that cometh of our God, and of the saviour Iesus Christ.

And it was said unto them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth: neither any green thing: neither any tree: but only those men which have not the seal in their foreheads,
