¶ And he said unto me: these sayings are faithful, and true. And the Lord God of saints and prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants, the things which must shortly be fulfilled.
¶ And when Peter was come to himself, he said: now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me from the hand of Herod, and from all the waiting for of the people of the jewes.
Moreover seeing we had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall not we much rather be in subjection unto the father of spiritual gifts that we might live?
¶ The revelation of Iesus Christe, which God gave unto him, for to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass. And he sent and shewed by his angel unto his servant Ihon,
¶ And there came unto me one of the vij. angels which had the vij. vials full of the vij. last plagues: and talked with me saying: come hither I will shew thee the bride, the lamb's wife.
¶ I Iesus sent mine angel, to testify unto you these things in the congregations. I am the root and the generation of David, and the bright morning star.
¶ After this I looked, and behold a door was open in heaven, and the first voice which I heard, was as it were of a trumpet talking with me, which said: come up hither, and I will shew the things which must be fulfilled hereafter.
