¶ Then was Iesus led away of the spirit in to a desert, to be tempted of the devil.
¶ Here after will I not talk many words unto you. For the chief ruler of this world cometh, and hath nought in me.
As soon as they were come out of the water the spirit of the Lord caught away Philip. And the gelded man saw him no more. And he went on his way rejoicing:
for as many as are led by the spirit of God, are the sons of God.
For in that he himself suffered, and was tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.
But every man is tempted drawn away, and enticed of his own concupiscence.
