When his disciples saw that, they had indignation saying: what needed this waste?

¶ And when the ten heard this, they disdained at the two brethren.

there came unto him a woman, which had an alabaster box of precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at the board.

This ointment might have been well sold, and given to the poor.

And there were some that disdained in themselves, and said: what needed this waste of ointment?
