¶ Lo I send you forth, as sheep among wolves. Be ye therefore wise as serpents, and innocent as doves.

five of them were foolish, and five were wise.

And the foolish said to the wise: give us of your oil, for our lamps go out?

¶ Whosoever heareth of me these sayings, and doeth the same, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house on a rock:

Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God that the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
