Then all those virgins arose, and prepared their lamps.

¶ Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened unto x. virgins, which took their lamps, and went to meet the bridegroom:

And even at midnight, there was a cry made: behold, the bridegroom cometh, go and meet him.

And the foolish said to the wise: give us of your oil, for our lamps go out?

¶ Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning,

¶ Wherefore dearly beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot and undefiled:

Be awake and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die. For I have not found thy works perfect before God.
