¶ Then went the pharises and took counsel, how they might tangle him in his words.

This speak I for your profit, not to tangle you in a snare: but for that which is honest and comely unto you And that ye may quietly cleave unto the Lord without separation.
Consider therefore how that he endured such speaking against him of sinners, lest ye should be wearied and faint in your minds.
