¶ Peter answered, and said: master, and thou be he, bid me come unto thee on the water.
And straightway Iesus spake unto them saying: be of good cheer, it is I, be not afraid.
And he said come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Iesus.
¶ Then answered Peter, and said to him: Behold we have forsaken all, and have followed thee: what shall we have therefore?
And he spake bolder: no, if I should die with thee, I will not deny thee. Likewise also said they all.
Simon Peter answered him: Master to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life,
For I say (thorow the grace that unto me given is) to every man among you, that no man esteem of himself more than it becometh him to esteem: But that he discreetly judge of himself according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
but let him ask in faith, and waver not. For he that doubteth is like the waves of the sea, tossed of the wind, and carried with violence.
