¶ And his disciples came, and said to him: Why speakest thou to them in parables?

He answered and said unto them: It is given unto you to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

And he spake many things to them in similitudes, saying: Behold, the sower went forth to sow.

Whosoever hath ears to hear, let him hear.

¶ When he was alone, they that were, about him with the twelve asked him of the similitude.

¶ And his disciples asked him, saying: what manner similitude this should be.
