But ye say: a man shall say to his father or mother Corban, that is, whatsoever thing I offer, that same doeth profit thee.

But ye say, every man shall say to his father or mother: whatsoever thing I offer, that same doth profit thee,

And whosoever sweareth by the altar it is nothing: but whosoever sweareth by the offering that lieth on the altar is debtor.

¶ The chief priests took the silver plates and said: it is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.

And ye suffer no more that a man do anything for his father or mother,
