¶ Learn a similitude of the fig tree. When his branches are yet tender, and hath brought forth leaves, ye know, that summer is near.
and spied a fig tree in the way, and came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said to it, never fruit grow on thee hence forwards. And anon the fig tree withered away.
And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, and from the one end of the world to the other.
So in like manner when ye see these things come to pass, understand, that it is nye even at the doors.
