Sell that ye have, and give alms. And make you bags, which wax not old, and treasure that faileth not in heaven, where no thief cometh, neither moth corrupteth.
When Iesus heard that, he said unto him: Yet lackest thou one thing. Sell all that thou hast, and distribute it unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven, and come, and follow me.
Give, and it shall be given unto you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosoms. For with what measure ye mete, with the same shall men mete to you again.
I have shewed you all things, how that so laboring ye ought to receive the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Iesu, how that he said: It is more blessed to give, than to receive.
Ye know the liberality of our Lord Iesus Christ, which though he were rich, yet for your sakes became poor: that ye thorow his poverty might be made rich.
