Iesus turned back unto them, and said: Daughters of Ierusalem, weep not for me: but weep for yourselves, and for your children.
¶ There followed him a great company of people, and of women, which women bewailed, and lamented him.
For mark, the days will come, when men shall say: happy are the barren and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck.
Behold he cometh with clouds, and all eyes shall see him: and they also which pierced him. And all kindreds of the earth shall wail. Even so amen.
