And they brought him to Iesus. And they cast their raiment on the colt, and set Iesus theron.

All this was done, to fulfil that which was spoken by the prophet, saying:

and brought the ass and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and set him there on.

And they said: for the Lord hath need of him.

And as he went they spread their clothes in the way.

¶ On the morrow much people that were come to the feast (when they heard that Iesus should come to Ierusalem,)

Iesus got a young ass and sat thereon, according to that which was written:
