And whence happeneth this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
¶ While he yet talked to the people: behold, his mother and his brethren stood without the doors, desiring to speak with him.
But Ihon forbade him saying: I ought to be baptised of thee: and comest thou too me?
and cried with a loud voice, and said: Blessed art thou among the women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
Lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe sprang in my belly for joy.
for unto you is born this day in the city of David a saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Wherefore I thought not myself worthy to come unto thee: but say the word and my servant shall be whole.
ye call me master and Lord, and ye say well, for so am I.
Thomas answered and said unto him: my Lord, and my God.
that nothing be done thorow strife or vain glory, but in meekness of mind. Let every person think every other man better than himself,
