Then came he to a city of Samaria called Sichar besides the possession that Iacob gave to his son Ioseph,
and sent messengers before him. And they went, and entered into a city of the Samaritans to make ready for him.
Art thou greater then our father Iacob, which gave us the well, and he himself drank thereof and his children and his cattle?
¶ Many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him, For the woman's saying, which testified: He told me all things that ever I did.
and there was Iacob's well. Iesus then wearied in his journey, sat thus on the well. ¶ It was about the sixth hour:
(for his disciples were gone away unto the town to buy meat.)
