Remember the saying, that I said unto you: the servant is not greater than the Lord. If they have persecuted me, so will they persecute you. If they have kept my saying, so will they keep yours.

The disciple is not above his master: Nor yet the servant above his Lord.

And they said unto him: that we can. Iesus said unto them: ye shall drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and be baptised with the baptism that I shall be baptised in:

And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother: behold, this child shall be the fall, and resurrection of many in Israhel: And a sign which shall be spoken against.

The disciple is not above his master. Every man shall be perfect, even as his master is.

¶ Then the jewes again took up stones, to stone him withall.

The high priests and pharises had given a commandment that if any man knew where he were, he should shew it that they might take him.

Verily verily I say unto you, the servant is not greater than his master. Neither the messenger greater than he that sent him.

And therefore the iewes did persecute Iesus, and sought the means to slay him, because he had done these things on the saboth day.

¶ The pharises heard that the people murmured such things about him: and the pharises and scribes sent ministers forth to take him.

¶ Verily verily I say unto you, if a man keep my sayings, he shall never see death.

Then said the jewes to him: Now know we that thou hast the devil. Abraham is dead, and also the prophets, and yet thou sayest: if a man keep my saying he shall never taste of death.

Then took they up stones, to cast at him. But Iesus hid himself, and went out of the temple.

and strengthened the disciples souls, exhorting them to continue in the faith, affirming that we must throwe much adversity enter into the kingdom of God.

and labour working with our own hands. We are reviled, and yet we bless. We are persecuted, and suffer it.

We are persecuted: but are not forsaken. We are cast down: nevertheless we perish not.

which as they killed the Lord Iesus and their own prophets, even so have they persecuted us, and God they please not, and are contrary to all men:

Yee and all that will live godly in Christ Iesu, must suffer persecutions.
