For the testament taketh authority when men are dead: For it is of no value as long as he that made it is alive.
¶ Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you. Not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your hearts be grieved, neither fear ye.
¶ Brethren I will speak after the manner of men. Though it be but a man's testament, yet no man despiseth it, or addeth any thing thereto when it is once allowed.
For wheresoever is a testament, there must also be the death of him that maketh the testament.
For which cause also, neither that first testament was ordained without blood.
