¶ Whereof we have many things to say which are hard to be uttered: because ye are dull of hearing.

For this people's heart is waxed gross. And their ears were dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed, lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their hearts, and should turn, that I might heal them.

And he said unto them: how is it that ye understand not?

¶ And he said unto them: O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken.

¶ I have yet many things to say unto you: but ye cannot bear them away now.

This he said to prove him. For he himself knew what he would do.

For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears wexe thick of hearing, and their eyes have they closed, lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

and is called of God the high priest, after the order of Melchisedech.

For when as concerning the time, ye ought to be teachers, yet have ye need again that we teach you the first principles of the word of God: and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat:

yee, almost in every pistel speaking of such things: among which are many things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned, and unstable pervert, as they do other scriptures unto their own destruction.
