so then as concerning the conversation in time past, lay from you that old man, which is corrupt thorow the deceivable lusts,

Wherefore put away lying, and speak every man truth unto his neighbor, for as much as we are members one of another.

Be angry, but sin not: let not the son go down upon your wrath,

Husbands love your wives and be not bitter unto them.

¶ But now put ye also away from you all things, wrath, fierceness, maliciousness, cursed speaking, filthy speaking out of your mouths.

¶ Even so must their wives be honest, not evil speakers: but sober, and faithful in all things.

not drunken, no fighter, not given to filthy lucre: but gentle, abhorring fighting, abhorring covetousness,

And also they learn to go from house to house idle, yee not idle only, but also trifling and busybodies, speaking things which are not comely.

Foolish and unlearned questions put from thee, remembering that they do but make strife.

churlish, stubborn, false accusers, rioters, fierce, despisers of them which are good,

For a bishop must be such as no man can complain on, as it be cometh the minister of God not stubborn, not angry, no drunkard, no fighter, not given to filthy lucre:

And the elder women likewise that they be in such raiment, as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much drinking, but teachers of honest things,

¶ Wherefore dear brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath.

But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, rejoice not: neither be liars against the truth.

Backbite not one another, brethren. He that backbiteth his brother, and he that judgeth his brother, backbiteth the law, and judgeth the law: but and if thou judge the law, thou art not an observer of the law: but a judge.

¶ Wherefore lay a side all maliciousness, and all guile, and dissimulation, and envy, and all backbiting:

And wherefore slew he him? because his own works were evil, and his brother's good.

Whosoever hateth his brother, is a man slayer. And ye know that no man slayer, hath eternal life abiding in him.

¶ And I heard a loud voice saying: in heaven is now made health and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: For he is cast down which accused them before God day and night:
