¶ And now I say unto you: refrain yourselves from these men, let them alone: For if this counsel or work be of men, it will come to nought:
He answered, and said: all plants which my heavenly father hath not planted, shall be plucked up by the roots.
And they thought in themselves, saying: if we shall say, from heaven, he will say: why then did ye not believe him?
If we let him scape thus all men will believe on him. And the romaynes shall come and take away our country and people.
and said unto them: Men of Israhell take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men.
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written: he compasseth the wise in their craftiness.
