¶ Certain of the vagabond jewes exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Iesus saying: We adjure you by Iesu whom Paul preacheth.
but Iesus held his peace. And the chief priest answered, and said to him: I charge thee in the name of the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be Christ the son of God.
and cried with a loud voice and said: what have I to do, with thee Iesus the son of the most highest God? I require thee in the name of God, that thou torment me not.
And whosoever receiveth me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me. ¶ Ihon answered him, saying: Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, which followeth not us and we forbade him, because he followeth us not.
For if he that cometh to you preach another Iesus than him whom we preached: or if ye receive another spirit than that which ye have received: either another gospel than that ye have received, ye might right well have been content.
