¶ If any man hath caused sorrow, the same hath not made me sorry: but partly, lest I should grieve you all.
And behold a woman which was a Canaanite came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying: have mercy on me Lord the son of David, my daughter is piteously vexed with a devil.
¶ Brethren I beseech you, be ye as I am: for I am as ye are. Ye have not hurt me.
¶ I have trust toward you in God, that ye will be none otherwise minded. He that troubleth you shall bear his judgement, whatsoever he be.
