¶ Furthermore we beseech you brethren, and exhort you in the Lord Iesus, that ye increase more and more, even as ye have received of us, how ye ought to walk and to please God.

Every branch that beareth not fruit in me, He will take away. And every branch that beareth fruit will he purge that it may bring more fruit.

For I have kept nothing back: but have shewed you all the counsel of God.

So then they that are given to the flesh, cannot please God.

¶ That which I gave unto you I received of the Lord. For the Lord Iesus the same night in the which he was betrayed, took bread:

¶ Brethren as pertaining to the gospell which I preached unto you, which ye have also accepted, and in the which ye continue:

Therefore my dear brethren, be ye steadfast and unmoveable, always rich in the works of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know how that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

¶ I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and softness of Christ, which when I am present among you, am of no reputation, but am bold toward you being absent.

¶ Furthermore brethren fare ye well, be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace, and the God of love and peace, shall be with you.

Wherefore we endeavor ourselves, wether we be at home or from home, to please God.

¶ We as helpers therefore exhort you, that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.

¶ Brethren, if any man be fallen by chance into any fault: ye which are spiritual, help to amend him, in the spirit of meekness: considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

¶ I therefore which am in bonds for the Lord's sake exhort you, that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

But ye have not so learned Christ,

wherefore, be ye not unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is,

¶ Only let your conversation be, as it becometh the gospell of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may yet hear of you, that ye continue in one spirit, and in one soul laboring as we do to maintain the faith of the gospell,

And this I pray, that your love may increase more and more in knowledge, and in all fealing,

and press unto that mark appointed, to obtain the reward of the high calling of God in Christ Iesu.

that ye might walk worthy of the Lord in all things that please, being fruitful in all good works and increasing in the knowledge of God

As ye have therefore received Christ Iesu the Lord, even so walk rooted and built in him,

and the Lord increase you, and make you flow over in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you,

Ye remember what commandments we gave you in the name of our Lord Iesu.

¶ We beseech you brethren, that ye know them which labour among you, and have the oversight of you in the Lord, and give you exhortation,

¶ We are bound to thank God always for you brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and every one of you swimmeth in love toward another between yourselves,

¶ We beseech you brethren by the coming of our Lord Iesu Christ, and in that we shall assemble unto him,

¶ Furthermore brethren pray for us, that the word of God may have free passage, and be glorified, as it is with you:

Brethren be not weary in well doing.

¶ I testify before God, and the Lord Iesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without hasty judgment, and do nothing partially.

¶ I testify therefore before God, and before the Lord Iesu Christ, which shall judge quick and dead at his appearing in his kingdom,

but without faith it is unpossible to please him. For he that cometh to God, must believe that God is, and that he is a rewarder of them that seek him.

To do good, and to distribute forget not, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

¶ I beseech you brethren, suffer the words of exhortation: For we have written unto you in few words.

but grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord, and saviour Iesus Christ. To whom be glory both now and for ever, Amen.

and whatsoever we ask, we shall receive of him: because we keep his commandments, and do those things which are pleasing in his sight.
