Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God, commit their souls to him with well doing, as unto a faithful creator.

Consider therefore how that he endured such speaking against him of sinners, lest ye should be wearied and faint in your minds.

And now Lord behold their threatenings, and grant unto thy servants with all confidence to speak thy word.

From henceforth is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord that is a righteous judge shall give me at that day: not to me only: but unto all them that love his coming.

for the which cause I also suffer this. Nevertheless I am not ashamed. For I know whom I have believed, and am sure that he is able keep that which I have committed to his keeping against that day.

not rendering evil for evil, neither rebuke for rebuke: but contrariwise, bless: remembering that ye are thereunto called, even that ye should be heirs of blessing.

which is a token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye are counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer.

And ye masters, do even the same things unto them, putting away threatenings: and remember that even your master also is in heaven, neither is there any respect of person with him.

¶ But thou after thine hard heart that cannot repent, heapest thee together the treasure of wrath against the day of vengeance, when shall be opened the righteous judgement of God,

because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world according to righteousness, by that man, whom he hath appointed, and hath given faith to all men, after that he had raised him from death.

Then questioned he with him of many things: But he answered him not one word.

And they stoned Steven calling on and saying: Lord Iesu receive my spirit.

We are righteously punished, for we receive according to our deeds: But this man hath done no thing amiss.
