So then, neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth: but god which gave the increase.

¶ I am the vine, and ye are the branches. He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit. For without me can ye do nothing.

And though I could prophesy, and understood all secrets, and all knowledge: yee, if I had all faith so that I could move mountains out of their places, and yet had no love, I were nothing.

I have planted: Apollo watered: but god gave increase.

¶ He that planteth, and he that watereth, are neither better than the other. Every man yet shall receive his reward according to his labour.

¶ I am made a fool in boasting myself. Ye have compelled me: I ought to have been commended of you. For in nothing was I inferior unto the chief apostles, though I be nothing,

and he said unto me: my grace is sufficient for thee. For my strength is made perfect throu weakness. Very gladly therefore will I rejoice of my weakness, that the strength of Christ may dwell in me.

If a man seem to himself that he is somewhat when indeed he is nothing, the same deceiveth himself in his imagination.
