¶ Brethren (ye know the house of Stephana how that they are the first fruits of Achaia, and that they have appointed themselves to minister unto the saints:)
¶ Now lately when Timotheus came from you unto us and declared to us your faith, and your love, and how that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring to see us, as we desire to see you.
¶ We are bound to thank God always for you brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and every one of you swimmeth in love toward another between yourselves,
¶ Be ye therefore discreet, and sober, that ye may be apt to prayers. But above all things have fervent love among you. For love covereth the multitude of sins.
