Death where is thy sting? Hell where is thy victory?
¶ When he lift up his eyes, as he was in torments, he saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom,
because thou shalt not leave my soul in hell, neither shalt suffer thy saint to see corruption.
And he said what art thou Lord? The Lord said, I am Iesus whom thou persecutest, it shall be hard for thee to kick against the prick.
nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them also that sinned not, with like transgression as did Adam: which is the similitude of him that was to come.
The sting of death is sin. ¶ The strength of sin is the law:
And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails. And their power was to hurt men v months.
