Covet after the best gifts. And yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.

And though I could prophesy, and understood all secrets, and all knowledge: yee, if I had all faith so that I could move mountains out of their places, and yet had no love, I were nothing.

¶ Labour for love, and covet spiritual gifts: and most chiefly for to prophesy.

But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men, for their edifying, and comfort.

But and if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.

I would that ye all spake with tongues: but rather that ye prophesied. For greater is he that prophesieth, than he that speaketh with tongues, except he expound it also, that the congregation may have edifying.
