if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is a shame for women to speak in the congregation.
Or else doth not nature teach you, that it is a shame for a man, if he have long hair:
If the woman be not covered, let her also be shaven. If it be shame for a woman to be shaven or shorn, let her cover her head.
¶ Let your wives keep silence in the congregations. For it is not permitted unto them to speak: but let them be under obedience, as saith the law:
Spronge the word of God from you? other came it unto you only?
For it is shame even to name those things which are done of them in secret:
¶ Likewise ye men dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as unto them that are heirs also of the grace of life, that your prayers be not let.
