John also gave testimony by stating: »I have seen the Spirit coming down like a dove out of Heaven; and it remained upon Him.

The large number of people, however, who had been present when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and brought him back to life, related what they had witnessed.

This statement is the testimony of an eye-witness, and it is true. He knows that he is telling the truth–in order that you also may believe.

That is the disciple who gives his testimony as to these matters, and has written this history; and we know that his testimony is true.

In most solemn truth I tell you that we speak what we know, and give testimony of that of which we were eye-witnesses, and yet you all reject our testimony.

For you shall be a witness for Him, to all men, of what you have seen and heard.

`But rise, and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for the very purpose of appointing you My servant and My witness both as to the things you have already seen and as to those in which I will appear to you.

As for us, what we have seen and heard we cannot help speaking about.«

Thus my testimony as to the Christ has been confirmed in your experience,

And as for myself, brethren, when I came to you, it was not with surpassing power of eloquence or earthly wisdom that I came, announcing to you that which God had commanded me to bear witness to.

That which was from the beginning, which we have listened to, which we have seen with our own eyes, and our own hands have handled concerning the Word of Life–

And we have seen and bear witness that the Father has sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

The character of Demetrius has the approval of all men, and of the truth itself. We also express our approval of it, and you know that we only give our approval to that which is true.

It said, »Write forthwith in a roll an account of what you see, and send it to the seven Churches–to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyateira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea.«

Write down therefore the things you have just seen, and those which are now taking place, and those which are soon to follow:

I John, your brother, and a sharer with you in the sorrows and Kingship and patient endurance of Jesus, found myself in the island of Patmos, on account of the Word of God and the truth told us by Jesus.

But they have gained the victory over him because of the blood of the Lamb and of the testimony which they have borne, and because they held their lives cheap and did not shrink even from death.

This made the Dragon furiously angry with the woman, and he went elsewhere to make war upon her other children–those who keep God's commandments and hold fast to the testimony of Jesus.

And I saw thrones, and some who were seated on them, to whom judgment was entrusted. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded on account of the testimony that they had borne to Jesus and on account of God's Message, and also the souls of those who had not worshipped the Wild Beast or his statue, nor received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands; and they came to Life and were kings with Christ for a thousand years.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people.

When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw at the foot of the altar the souls of those whose lives had been sacrificed because of the word of God and of the testimony which they had given.
