Hypocrites! well did Isaiah prophesy of you,

Then Jesus travelled through all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the Good News of the Kingdom, and curing every kind of disease and infirmity among the people.

Hypocrite, first take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly how to remove the splinter from your brother's eye.

Alas for you! for you are like the tombs which lie hidden, and the people who walk over them are not aware of their existence.«

Vain pretenders! You know how to read the aspect of earth and sky. How is it you cannot read this present time?

But the Lord's reply to him was, »Hypocrites, does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his bullock or his ass from the stall and lead him to water?

Such persons are mere babes. But solid food is for adults–that is, for those who through constant practice have their spiritual faculties carefully trained to distinguish good from evil.
