»What rule did Moses lay down for you?« He answered.
Presently a party of Pharisees come to Him with the question–seeking to entrap Him, »May a man divorce his wife?«
»Moses,« they said, »permitted a man to draw up a written notice of divorce, and to send his wife away.«
Then an expounder of the Law stood up to test Him with a question. »Rabbi,« he asked, »what shall I do to inherit the Life of the Ages?«
»You search the Scriptures, because you suppose that in them you will find the Life of the Ages; and it is those Scriptures that yield testimony concerning me;«
Tell me –you who want to continue to be subject to Law– will you not listen to the Law?
