Now His parents used to go up year by year to Jerusalem at the Feast of the Passover.
And the child grew and became strong and full of wisdom, and the favour of God rested upon Him.
And when He was twelve years old they went up as was customary at the time of the Feast, and,
He came to Nazareth also, where He had been brought up; and, as was His custom, He went to the synagogue on the Sabbath, and stood up to read.
When however He reached Galilee, the Galilaeans welcomed Him eagerly, having been eye-witnesses of all that He had done in Jerusalem at the Festival; for they also had been to the Festival.
