As Jesus passed on, two blind men followed Him, shouting and saying, »Pity us, Son of David.«

He also taught them by a parable that they must always pray and never lose heart.

At length Jesus stopped and desired them to bring the man to Him; and when he had come close to Him He asked him,

Thereupon some of the Pharisees in the crowd appealed to Him, saying, »Rabbi, reprove your disciples.«

While He was still speaking, some one came to the Warden of the Synagogue from his house and said, »Your daughter is dead; trouble the Rabbi no further.«

As for this, three times have I besought the Lord to rid me of him;
