Then Jesus took the loaves, and after giving thanks He distributed them to those who were resting on the ground; and also the fish in like manner–as much as they desired.

Jesus told them to fetch some of the fish which they had just caught.

As soon as they landed, they saw a charcoal fire burning there, with fish broiling on it, and bread close by.

Yet a number of small boats came from Tiberias to the neighbourhood of the place where they had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks.

»There is a boy here with five barley loaves and a couple of fish: but what is that among so many?«

Having said this he took some bread, and, after giving thanks to God for it before them all, he broke it in pieces and began to eat it.

He who regards the day as sacred, so regards it for the Master's sake; and he who eats certain food eats it for the Master's sake, for he gives thanks to God; and he who refrains from eating it refrains for the Master's sake, and he also gives thanks to God.

Whether, then, you are eating or drinking, or whatever you are doing, let everything be done to the glory of God.

In every circumstance of life be thankful; for this is God's will in Christ Jesus respecting you.
