For I tell you that those words of Scripture must yet find their fulfilment in me: `And He was reckoned among the lawless'; for indeed that saying about me has its accomplishment.«

And whatever any of you ask in my name, I will do, in order that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

but it is in order that the world may know that I love the Father, and that it is in obedience to the command which the Father gave me that I thus act. Rise, let us be going.«

If you obey my commands, you will continue in my love, as I have obeyed my Father's commands and continue in His love.

After this, Jesus, knowing that everything was now brought to an end, said–that the Scripture might be fulfilled, »I am thirsty.«

As soon as Jesus had taken the wine, He said, »It is finished.« And then, bowing His head, He yielded up His spirit.

»My food,« said Jesus, »is to be obedient to Him who sent me, and fully to accomplish His work.

»But the testimony which I have is weightier than that of John; for the work the Father has assigned to me for me to bring it to completion –the very work which I am doing– affords testimony concerning me that the Father has sent me.«

»Neither he nor his parents sinned,« answered Jesus, »but he was born blind in order that God's mercy might be openly shown in him.

But even the sacrifice of my life I count as nothing, if only I may perfect my earthly course, and be faithful to the duty which the Lord Jesus has entrusted to me of proclaiming, as of supreme importance, the Good News of God's grace.

I have gone through the glorious contest; I have run the race; I have guarded the faith.
