You have not for the second time acquired the consciousness of being –a consciousness which fills you with terror. But you have acquired a deep inward conviction of having been adopted as sons– a conviction which prompts us to cry aloud, »Abba! our Father!«

Yet there was always the hope that at last the Creation itself would also be set free from the thraldom of decay so as to enjoy the liberty that will attend the glory of the children of God.

He it is who rescued us from so imminent a death, and will do so again; and we have a firm hope in Him that He will also rescue us in all the future,

Tell me –you who want to continue to be subject to Law– will you not listen to the Law?

For the Spirit which God has given us is not a spirit of cowardice, but one of power and of love and of sound judgement.

For assuredly it is not to angels that He is continually reaching a helping hand, but it is to the descendants of Abraham.
