He who believes and is baptized shall be saved, but he who disbelieves will be condemned.

For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.«

And I know that His command is the Life of the Ages. What therefore I speak, I speak just as the Father has bidden me.«

But these have been recorded in order that you may believe that He is the Christ, the Son of God, and that, through believing, you may have Life through His name.

Then the father recollected that that was the time at which Jesus had said to him, »Your son has recovered,« and he and his whole household became believers.

It is the spirit which gives Life. The flesh confers no benefit whatever. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and are Life.

»Master,« replied Simon Peter, »to whom shall we go? Your teachings tell us of the Life of the Ages.

He was religious and God-fearing–and so was every member of his household. He was also liberal in his charities to the people, and continually offered prayer to God.

To Him all the Prophets bear witness, and testify that through His name all who believe in Him receive the forgiveness of their sins.«

He is staying as a guest with Simon, a tanner, who has a house close to the sea.«

Then he described to us how he had seen the angel come and enter his house and say, »`Send to Jaffa and fetch Simon, surnamed Peter.

When she and her household had been baptized, she urged us, saying, »If in your judgement I am a believer in the Lord, come and stay at my house.« And she made us go there.

And Crispus, the Warden of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, and so did all his household; and from time to time many of the Corinthians who heard Paul believed and received baptism.

For to you belongs the promise, and to your children, and to all who are far off, whoever the Lord our God may call.«

I did, however, baptize Stephanas' household also: but I do not think that I baptized any one else.
