Of such a one I will boast; but of myself I will not boast, except in my weaknesses.

in order that this prediction of the Prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled, »He took on Him our weaknesses, and bore the burden of our diseases.«

And so far as I myself was concerned, I came to you in conscious feebleness and in fear and in deep anxiety.

If boast I must, it shall be of things which display my weakness.

I am compelled to boast. It is not a profitable employment, but I will proceed to visions and revelations granted me by the Lord.
