The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, `Look, there is a man who is overfond of eating and drinking–he is a friend of tax-gatherers and notorious sinners!'

Therefore the man who rebels against his ruler is resisting God's will; and those who thus resist will bring punishment upon themselves.

and after giving thanks He broke it and said, »This is my body which is about to be broken for you. Do this in memory of me.«

Whoever, therefore, in an unworthy manner, eats the bread or drinks from the cup of the Lord sins against the body and blood of the Lord.

But let a man examine himself, and, having done that, then let him eat the bread and drink from the cup.

That is why many among you are sickly and out of health, and why not a few die.

Such persons are mere babes. But solid food is for adults–that is, for those who through constant practice have their spiritual faculties carefully trained to distinguish good from evil.

Do not be eager, my brethren, for many among you to become teachers; for you know that we teachers shall undergo severer judgement.

But above all things, my brethren, do not swear, either by Heaven or by the earth, or with any other oath. Let your `yes' be simply `yes,' and your `no' be simply `no;' that you may not come under condemnation.
