A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son. LORD, how are they multiplied that trouble me? many are they that rise up against me.
And Absalom, and all the people the men of Israel, came to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel with him.
Show thy wonderful loving-kindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them who put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them.
And the brother will deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children will rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.
And when all these kings were met together, they came and encamped together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.
