But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst thou not agree with me for a penny?

That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God's?

Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous?

Take that which is thine, and depart: I will give to this last, even as to thee.

And when he had agreed with the laborers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.

And he saith to him, Friend, how camest thou in hither, not having a wedding-garment? And he was speechless.

And Jesus said to him, Friend, Why art thou come? Then they came, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.

No, but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
