Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.

Yet man is born to trouble, as the sparks fly upward.

Return to thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.

For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drouth of summer. Selah.

For my iniquities have gone over my head: as a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.

That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit.

And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

To whom he said, This is the rest with which ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

To appoint to them that mourn in Zion, to give to them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified.

For all these things hath my hand made, and all these things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.

Because the sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have performed the commandment of their father, which he commanded them; but this people hath not hearkened to me:

Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk in it, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk in it.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me: for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest to your souls.

For they bind heavy burdens, and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

All that the Father giveth me, shall come to me; and him that cometh to me, I will in no wise reject.

In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirsteth, let him come to me, and drink.

Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

I have shown you all things, that so laboring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Stand fast therefore in the liberty with which Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

And to you who are troubled, rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

Let us therefore fear, lest a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth, say, Come. And let him that is thirsty, come: And whoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
