Let his days be few; and let another take his office.

For whoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that which he hath.

Therefore I say to you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits of it.

For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.

For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell in it: and, His bishopric let another take.

Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast labored, and hast not fainted.

Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

And Samuel said to him, The LORD hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbor of thine, that is better than thou.

Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honor me I will honor, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.
