And Abraham ran to the herd, and brought a calf tender and good, and gave it to a young man; and he hasted to dress it.

And they said to him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.

And he urged them greatly; and they turned in to him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.

And at that time were some appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the offerings, for the first-fruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the cities the portions of the law for the priests and Levites: for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that waited.

Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.

And it shall come to pass, for the abundance of milk that they shall give, he shall eat butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat that is left in the land.

Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say to you, that he will gird himself, and make them to sit down to eat, and will come forth and serve them.

And will not rather say to him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drank; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?

And it came to pass, as he sat at table with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and broke, and gave to them.

And he took it, and ate before them.

There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.

Not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen before by God, even to us, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

For, brethren, ye have been called to liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

Butter of cows, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape.

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: If any man shall hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

And Manoah said to the angel of the LORD, I pray thee, let us detain thee, until we shall have made ready a kid for thee.

He asked water, and she gave him milk; she brought forth butter in a lordly dish.
