According as his divine power hath given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness: from the womb of the morning, thou hast the dew of thy youth.

For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.

And Jesus came, and spoke to them, saying, All power is given to me in heaven and upon earth.

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Even us whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles.

God is faithful, by whom ye were called to the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

And he said to me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation by which ye are called,

There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

Yes doubtless, and I count all things to be loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them to be dung, that I may win Christ,

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think on these things.

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are upon earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you into his kingdom and glory.

For God hath not called us to uncleanness, but to holiness.

To which he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable to all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

Who hath saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before the world began;

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself made purification of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

But as he who hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of deportment.

Who are kept by the power of God through faith to salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

For even to this were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:

Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but on the contrary, blessing; knowing that ye are called to this, that ye should inherit a blessing.

But the God of all grace, who hath called us to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you.

Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

And besides this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman.
