On which Jesus said: "A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and among his own relations, and in his own home."
These things proved a hindrance to their believing in him; whereupon Jesus said: "A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country and in his own house."
On leaving that place, Jesus, followed by his disciples, went to his own part of the country.
I tell you," he continued, "that no Prophet is acceptable in his own country.
For he himself declared that 'a Prophet is not honored in his own country.'
